Edgar graduated St. Raymond’s High School for Boy’s in the Bronx. He then obtained two Associate in Science degrees (A.S.) in Business Administration and Marketing, respectively, from Westchester Community College. Edgar would then go on to Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business to receive a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Business Administration and Management and would later attend the Graduate School of Business Administration to obtain his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in the same discipline. While obtaining his MBA at Fordham, Edgar also attended the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations Union Leadership Institute where he completed his Certificate in Labor Relations. Edgar completed his second Masters in Management (MSM) with a concentration in Public Administration from Wilmington University and also the New York Metro Education Policy Fellowship Program (EPFP) which is a unique, professional development experience that focuses on education policy issues and strategic leadership development for local school board members, superintendents, key administrators and other education leaders.

Edgar is currently the Director of Political & Governmental Affairs for the Laborers Eastern Region Organizing Fund (LEROF) which covers Greater New York City, New Jersey, Delaware and Puerto Rico. Prior to LEROF he held other prestigious posts including: Construction Market Rep (Eastern Region) at Laborers-Employers Cooperation and Education Trust (LECET), Deputy Executive Director at New York State Democratic Committee and Northeast Political Director for Hillary Clinton for President in her 2008 run.

Recently, Edgar was invited to participate as a civilian guest and “New Member” in the U.S. Army War College (USAWC) National Security Seminar (NSS), in June 2017. Also in June 2017, City & State named Edgar to their 40 Under 40 New York Albany Rising Stars. In 2016, he was awarded the El Comité Noviembre, “Lo Mejor de Nuestra Comunidad” Award. In 2013, City & State also named Edgar to their 40 Under 40 New York City Rising Stars.
